Savory Dishes to Warm You Up

The weather is starting to get chilly which means it is time for some hardy comfort foods.  Whether you have some extra pie crust mix left over from the holidays or not pot pies, shepherd pies, and stews are the way to go.

Chicken pot pies are a great, single dish that provide you all the nutrients you need in one pretty little package. You can make your own individual serving size pie if you have the right baking dish at home, or go for a full size pie to provide leftovers for the week.

  • Kinnikinnick Pre-made Pie Crusts Reg $4.99 NOW $4.49

Like cornbread on top of your pot pie instead?

If you don't feel like making pastry dough then Shepherd or cottage pies are your potato based alternative:

Staff Recipe Suggestion for the Week:

If you just want something super tasty and warm for dinner heat up 2 cans of your favorite salsa, 2 cans beans, and a little Nacheez. Add some fresh avocado and sour cream if you like and you have a great, filling dish.
